I’ll keep doing all the things moms do, some of the things dads do, and many of the things my children SHOULD do. In the meantime, I’ll keep doing my best to keep the kids, tutors, teachers, and administration at The Classical Academy in Colorado Springs happy, healthy, and smiling out loud!

But seriously folks…
2011 has been a fascinating year. I’ve been working hard at the Christian Camp and Conference Association, trying to help our members (camp directors and staff) through the various resources we offer. I’ve started teaching at Colorado Christian University as an adjunct professor (Yeah, Professor Slaight, weird, huh?) and on the side, helping a couple campground owner friends by sending fun, slightly strange, yet apparently effective email messages to their constituents. It’s a weird life indeed, but somebody has to live it!

Next year: Happily take my share of the lottery winnings that my mom doesn’t play, play more video games, and invent something interesting.

I’ll try to get started on that college thing, continue selling gas (while producing a little of my own) and enjoy Chic-Fil-A milkshakes. Summer at Golden Bell Camp was the hardest job I ever loved, and maybe someday I’ll start my own video-game camp.

Next year: Work at Ponderosa until I head off for Sweden
What? Sweden?
Yessirree! Plans are to leave for Sweden for Torchbearers International Bible School. I’ll study with Torchbearers for two months, then volunteer at their summer camp for 3 months. The other month will be spent on a plane, train, or automobile. Until then, I’m loving working at the Ponderosa Camp and Conference Center in Guest Services, Housekeeping, Foodservice, and general Misc. department!
